-Editing Has Taken Over
Due to the nature
of writing there is one aspect that is dread and that's editing.

April 13, 2015-Update Appreciation
Time is a very precious thing and a very harsh task master. I’ve been so busy once I had found an old check list that sleep and distribution of time to all social avenues, let alone answering readers and other authors had to be halted (this blog included).

Reading March 3, 2015
March 3, 2015 –L.E. Modesitt Jr.'s Natural Ordermage is nearly complete. Unfortunately, I couldn't flow though this book like I have with all others. The story was... not what I've grown accustomed to. however, it was still an exciting read. Once again things started to pile up on the writing and the self promotion front and there is much to catch up on.
One thing I had promised was to read Orson Scott Card's second book in the Ender's Series "Speaker for the Dead." Unlike the movie Ender's Game, the book was much more enjoyable. A writer friend of mine made me promise to read the second and the third book in the series. Promises, Promises will get you every time. If you are a fan of L.E. Modestt Jr., let me know what you think of his work both good and bad. Until next time. Read something, even if it's your own work. SD

JANUARY 26, 2015 –Novella Cover Work!
With things moving along once again, I can start concentrating on web pictures to promote the first set of Novelettes. This was supposed to be done a week ago. Unfortunately, the best laid plans sometime get it butt spanked and not in a good way or I’m the one doing the spanking. Let me know what you think if you would. Good, Bad, or WTF are all OK by me. SD.

JANUARY 26, 2015 –Novel Review!
You know when things go right, and you know when things go to crap. However, there are times when both happen and you have to ask yourself if you need to work more on your verbal communication skills than your literary ones? I've been having several discussions with two of my editors and it would seem they are very good at editing, but very poor at retention. To make a long story even longer, but using only notes, I found myself re-writing a story line to include what I was led to believe was missing to clarify a particular storyline, but after looking over my note had accomplished it and more, earlier in the book. needless to say there were several days (over two weeks) that I could've used my time for other items on my list. i.e.: Answering E-Mail, Goodread correspondence, Twitter responses, Facebook acknowledgements, and not least on my list this and other blogs!

JANUARY 6, 2015 –Novella Name Change!
Like everything in life, one thing is a constant and that’s change. There is one other thing that goes along those same lines and that is trying to be clever. I’m sure there’s an oxymoron in there somewhere. To make a long story short. The fifth and final book in the three Novella series were to be named after the bases of that series. This first one being “A Funny Thing Happened” series, the fifth and final book was to be name A Funny Thing Happened. My in-house critics got wind of it and the Hindenburg was the perfect example of what happened to that idea. I will be announcing what the fifth book is to be called when I’m notified that the changed with the US Copyright office has gone through. Stay tune for the conclusion of this much requested change.
